CUSTOM KILN DRYING
HOW IT WORKS
Step One: Complete an Initial Assessment of the Wood (Species Moisture Content and Thickness). We will give a time estimate for drying completion based on our initial assessment.
Step Two: Kiln Drying Starts. Your Lumber and slabs are stacked and stickered with our specialty Bree-z Dried Stickers and loaded in the Kiln.
Step Three: Your lumber remains in the kiln from a week to two weeks depending upon thickness and kiln settings. The interior kiln conditions are monitored remotely. Once the cycle is complete lumber is removed from the kiln and allowed to cool and relax. Once the lumber has cooled to ambient temps moisture readings are taken. If the lumber is at the target MC its cone if more time is needed for thicker pieces the kiln cycle starts again.
Step Four: Kiln Drying Completed. Congratulations your lumber has been successfully dried. We can now flatten or plane your lumber for you. We’ll call to let you know that the wood is ready for pickup.
